Marilyn Izquierdo is the firm’s Chief Operating Officer and oversees the daily operations pursuant to her outstanding work-ethic. Prior to joining the Law Offices of Scott Klotzman, P.A., Ms. Izquierdo worked at some of South Florida’s largest insurance defense firms handling a variety of cases, including first party insurance litigation disputes.  She assisted with the handling of civil matters from pre-litigation through litigation and trial. In 2013, Ms. Izquierdo obtained her paralegal studies degree from the University of Miami and was hired as the first team member to assist Mr. Klotzman after he opened the firm.

With over 10 years of legal experience, Ms. Izquierdo is a valued member of our team, as she provides competent and exceptional management for the firm. She is also fluent in Spanish and is a Florida Notary Public.

When Ms. Izquierdo is not working hard to ensure that the firm is running like a finely tuned engine, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Luis M. Perez is an associate at the Law Offices of Scott Klotzman, P.A. Mr. Perez joined the firm in 2017 and specializes in first-party insurance litigation, representing policyholders against their insurance companies. Prior to joining the firm, Luis defended various insurance companies in civil litigation for one of the largest insurance defense firms in the state of Florida. The experience he gained from five years in the insurance defense industry gives Luis insight into many of the tactics used by carriers.

Luis received a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Florida and he acquired his J.D. from Florida International University College of Law.

When he is not obtaining great settlements for our clients, Luis enjoys spearfishing, scuba diving, mountain biking and spending time with his wife and their two French bulldogs.

Brittany Alexander joined our team in December 2018 as an Associate Attorney. After spending several years as an insurance defense litigator, she now uses the knowledge and skills she learned while representing insurance carriers to zealously represent and protect policyholders against the injustices perpetrated by Florida’s major property insurance companies.

Ms. Alexander graduated from Florida State University and finished 2nd in her class at Barry University School of Law. Notably, Ms. Alexander was a Senior Editor on Law Review and won book awards in torts, mediation, and contracts drafting. Brittany is a published author and her legal course book is currently available at major online retail stores. When Ms. Alexander is not battling insurance companies, she enjoys listening to podcasts, dining at new restaurants, traveling and immersing herself in worldly culture.

Camila Guerrero joined the Law Offices of Scott Klotzman, P.A. as a Paralegal in November 2018.  Ms. Guerrero brings more than a decade of first-party property experience to the firm. Cami’s main focus is to ensure that the cases remain in constant motion towards a fast and equitable resolution via the litigation process.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Guerrero had extensive training while working with some of South Florida’s largest insurance defense firms. The knowledge and proficiency she gained working for both Plaintiff and Defense firms has her in tune with our client’s needs.

Outside of the office, Cami enjoys reading, cooking vegan meals and spending time with her loved ones.

Dina began improving the lives of our clients and referral sources when became the firm’s Director of Business Development in October of 2018. She brings over a decade of sales and marketing experience to the firm and focuses on client service and satisfaction to build long-term relationships and make valuable connections.

Her career began in the dental sales industry in Connecticut. When offered the option to relocate to the Sunshine State, Ms. Monaco immediately jumped on the opportunity to call South Florida home. Over the years she has developed an excellent reputation and was integral to the large-scale growth of a national dental supply company.

Dina is an extremely driven individual and strives to be her best.  This does not leave her with much free time. However, when she takes a break from making sure everyone is happy with the service they are receiving from the firm, she enjoys horseback riding, running, traveling, and spending time with her 2 beautiful children.
